STEP Ahead Teaching School Hub

STEP Ahead Teaching School Hub works in partnership with schools across and outside the Trust to improve the quality of education by focusing on training and developing our teachers and leaders.

Our excellent Early Career Framework training underpins a two-year induction for our new teachers with the aim of significantly increasing both their expertise and confidence and getting them off to the very best start. Our cutting-edge programme guarantees both our early career teachers and their mentors the content, training and support they need.

Working with nationally recognised CPD programmes, including the Early Career Framework (ECF) and the National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), we draw on both local and national expertise to ensure teachers and school leaders are supported through every stage of their career. Developing teachers is the core purpose of our teaching school hub.

Apprenticeships

At STEP Academy Trust, we understand the opportunities apprenticeships can create for people to develop the skills and knowledge to truly add value to their future careers. Apprenticeships support young people to gain a qualification as well as supporting them to make the transition into the world of work. We also offer existing staff members who already work for STEP to take up an apprenticeship course alongside their current role.

We have partnered with specialist training providers to offer exciting and relevant apprenticeship training programmes and opportunities across our academies.
