Paul Glover, CEO
Paul has always worked in primary education, working with vulnerable schools since 2002. He has a passion for driving rapid school improvement and has taught and held leadership roles in the West Midlands, London and East Sussex.
Paul was appointed as STEP Headteacher of Applegarth Junior School in 2011, which was one of the first schools to join STEP and rapidly moved from Special Measures to Good in 2012. In 2013, Paul became STEP Executive Headteacher, supporting multiple academies in London and in East Sussex. His last deployment as Executive Headteacher was at Heathfield Academy in Croydon, which was graded as Outstanding by Ofsted in May 2018.
In 2015 Paul was designated as a National Leader of Education (NLE) and was appointed as Deputy Chief Executive Officer. On 1 September 2022 Paul was appointed as the CEO of STEP.
