Amy is presently utilising her HR knowledge and experience as a lay panel member for the Nursing and Midwifery Council and Regulatory Appointments Committee member at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. She has fifteen years of senior leadership experience across the public, private and voluntary sectors; including, most recently, working for The Pensions Ombudsman as Deputy Chief Operating Officer.  She has also worked for the Regional Schools Commissioner for East Sussex, in 2018, where she was first introduced to the great community of STEP academies by visiting Phoenix and White House Academies in Hailsham. She has also worked as a School Business Manager in Maidstone and Glasgow, delivering capital maintenance projects, tendering catering services and maximising financial resources. More widely, Amy has worked as a volunteer and then Deputy Governor in Kent prisons and it was in this role she completed a Masters in Criminology at Cambridge University and first developed a keen interest in ensuring the safeguarding of vulnerable people.
